Peace Abiding Meditation
Monday, 4th September from 19:00 to 20:30
Today’s modern world can provoke in us deep worries and stress such that we may experience a life lacking peace and rest. This daily pressure, which is present mainly in our mind can make us feel physically and emotionally exhausted. A continuous state of stress and restlessness can in the long run affect not only our mental states but our physical health as well. The practice of Peace Abiding Meditation or Shamatha allows us to gently pacify our mind and gradually detach ourselves from those “objects” which seem to cause our daily stress and dis-ease. The continuous practice of meditation can become a process of coming to know our own mind. A process during we can familiarize ourselves with how our mind functions and therefore train it to obtain from it what we wish in our lives.
