At Cal Reiet we have to admit that we kind of have a sweet tooth. And as nature offers such a wide range of sweet flavors to combine and to play with, we’re happy to share this Vegan, gluten free and sugar free recipe of a delicious fig cake.
500 gr peeled figs
1 pinch of salt
4 tablespoon of rice syrup
½ teaspoon of vanilla
¾ teaspoon of agar-agar powder
3 cups of roasted almonds
1,5 cups medjool dates without pit
½ teaspoon of cinnamon
1 teaspoon of coconut oil
Base: blend all the ingredients and expand on a mold
Filling: Cook all the ingredients together until the fruit is soft, about 10 minutes. Blend it and put on the base. Keep it cold and reserve in the fridge.
Decorate with sliced figs!!
