It’s been a month… the journal

We’ve stepped into 2018 with many hopes, visions, goals and intentions; let’s check in to see how we are doing? Are we feeling the love towards ourselves as we review our first month of action in this New Year? Are we feeling overwhelmed because we stepped too deeply into some projections that just aren’t happening quite the way we thought they would? Just a few questions for this inquiry…

Suggestion: a journal is a good tool to keep handy when we do this kind of self-awareness, writing can become the companion, the container for our thoughts, a record for us on a personal level to review, remind us, stepping into those intimacies of self love, self healing, self actualization, so if you choose begin to create your journal, your personal sanctuary….. If you don’t already have your journal consider creating one. My journaling is sacred, I love writing utensils, pens are so delicious, the flow of the ink, the way they feel in my hand, the relationship from the tip to the paper…find your special pen, hold it dearly with your journal, this is your life you are writing about, honor it, hold it with reverence and command.

Writing is an action, from my experience once I start taking some action, things begin to shift. Now that we have a month under our belt with our intentions for 2018, review what is working and what is not, we have not failed in our intentions… we are just being given some lessons from the teacher, the teacher is us. Did I hit block because I could not do my intention 150%, do I see a pattern with myself about doing things all or nothing, can I be happy in the gray area in between all or nothing…… from my experience this (the gray space) is where the real substance is. Does my intention involve someone else, remembering that all that we change is ourselves, we are powerless over others? Am I easy on myself when I finish my day and maybe I didn’t accomplish all that I intended….. can I practice forgiveness to myself and to others…lets take some action, put the pen to the paper, lets carry this exercise with us through out the year…every month I will do a posting to keep us in the process around our journal, have fun, be creative…draw in your journal, paste pictures in your journal…this is your life, make it all you can.
