RUSTY
Rusty began his yoga journey in New York City in 2000, quickly finding a sense of belonging and deep affection for the practice. He views yoga as a powerful tool for harmonizing the mind, body, and breath, facilitating a profound connection to the True Self. Drawing from the ancient wisdom of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras and The Bhagavad Gita, Rusty approaches both his role as a student and teacher with a ‘beginner’s mind,’ embracing curiosity, exploration, stability, and comfort in every aspect of yoga, whether it be asana, pranayama, or meditation.
Rusty’s classes prioritize the student’s experience over the aesthetics of poses, focusing on the integration and unity of all facets of self. His teaching style encompasses movement, breath training, systematic relaxation, pranayama, and seated meditation, offering a comprehensive practice designed to enhance overall well-being and inner peace.
