With the help of Rosa Asturias, who has been the chef of the Cal Reiet breakfast buffet for four years, we’re really happy to introduce two innovative gastronomic experiences this year. These experiences invite our guests to actively participate during their stay with us.
These two options are designed to bring the concept of plant-based and healthy food closer to our guests and visitors, offering something in addition to just enjoying breakfast, lunch time or à la carte dinner.
Plant based cooking workshop
A plant-based cooking session with Rosa Asturias to learn how to prepare any of the star recipes on the hotel’s breakfast buffet.
You will be able to choose from a large list of options: gluten-free breads, refined sugar-free desserts, vegan dishes, plant-based milks, nut butters, or any other recipe you’re interested in. We can also schedule a completely personalized cooking class for you in which possible intolerances; allergies or dietary restrictions will be taken into account. Guests can calmly taste the recipes prepared at the end of the session.
The class lasts approximately 90 ‘and can be carried out individually or in groups of maximum 6 people. The class can be held in English, Spanish or Italian, depending on the client’s preferences.
From market to plate / Pop up experience
This is the perfect excuse to enjoy the charm of the weekly market at Santanyí and do it from a chef’s perspective. Rosa will be waiting for you at a meeting point at the market and together you will begin a visit to the different fruit and vegetable stalls where you will be able to buy the products that you will later cook with Rosa in Cal Reiet’s kitchen. It is the ideal time to dare to try varieties of vegetables unknown to you or to learn healthy and practical ways of cooking.
Once you’re back at the hotel, you will prepare the products together during a hands-on cooking class and then enjoy them quietly in the garden. The experience lasts approximately 120 ‘(30’ + 90 ‘). This activity can be carried out individually or in groups of maximum 4 people. The class can be held in English, Spanish or Italian, depending on the client’s preferences.
Possible food allergies, dietary restrictions or particular needs will be taken into account at all times.
