Healthy recipes by Cal Reiet – Farinata

Today we’re cooking something different. Something unique. Something delicious and healthy, as usual! Ready to learn how to make our famous ‘farinata’?

Here it goes!


1 cup Chickpea flour
3 cups filtered water
1/8 Cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 tablespoon of salt

Toppings will be chosen based on the diner’s preferences. Some examples are: cherry tomatoes sliced in half, pitted olives, sliced artichokes, halved asparagus, rosemary leaves, etc.


1- Mix the flour and water, until it integrates well. 
2- Add the salt and the oil, mix well. Let the mix rest well covered for 12 hours.
3- Prepare a baking dish and cover it with non-stick baking paper.
4- Mix the preparation well again and pour the mixture into the dish. 
5- Place the toppings on top of the farinata. 
6- Bake at 190 degrees for 30 minutes until slightly golden on the base and on top.
7- Let it  cool. Remove the paper and serve!
