Here in the southeast of the island, we are especially blessed with some of Mallorca’s most scenic beaches and little bays where you can still find spots of pure nature and magnificent beauty! One beautiful excursion that we particularly recommend to you is hiking in the “Parque Natural de Mondragó”, where you can enjoy various routes and itineraries by foot, admiring its stunning nature and observing the plants, animal species and birds that inhabit the place. This unique area offers a great diversity of landscapes: forests of olive and pine trees, dry land, coastal savannahs as well as rocky areas and sandy beaches – and even a sweet pond…
It is situated about 7 km from Cal Reiet and you could, if you prefer to make a longer excursion, even walk from Cal Reiet to there in about 1,5 hours. Otherwise you just take the car and drive direction Cala Santanyí/Cala Figuera. After having left Santanyí in this direction, you will reach a roundabout with a cemetery on the right side. Please take the third exit direction “S’Amarador” and just follow the road for few km until you reach a parking on the left side.
Leaving the parking, you will find an orientative map with different itineraries, all of them perfectly marked and some rather short – but why not explore them all and make a whole day excursion out of it? This beautiful area also has some precious beaches with fine, white sand – don’t miss to enjoy at least one of them on a warm and sunny day!
The quieter months like March, April, October or November are the best time for this excursion, as there are less tourists on the island and the water is incredibly crystalline and turquoise! In summer you can enjoy an amazingly beautiful sunset at S’Amarador – but pssst, don’t tell anybody!
As you can see, there’s a lot to discover in our area. We are very much looking forward to welcoming you at beautiful and serene Cal Reiet soon!
