At Cal Reiet we are looking for vegetarian culinary professionals with a background in diversified ethnic cooking. Our menu can contain a wide variety of ingredients and also authentic vegan recipes from The Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, Indian, and African cuisines. Needless to say, the result of our culinary exercise is a feast of aromas, colors, textures, and tastes from around the world – healthy, flavorful, colorful, and tasty. What’s even better, it is done without boredom and cruelty.

At Cal Reiet our vegetarian culinary team cook from scratch using fresh and unprocessed ingredients.

Our culinary team members need to have a very good understanding of vegetables – the texture, the nutritional benefits, the availability, the palatable compatibility, etc. They should be willing to experiment with and at the same time understand and adopt ethnic vegetarian recipes. Their job demands that they always be on the search for new and exciting authentic recipes with a foundation of culinary techniques to support our ever-evolving gastronomic journey.

Position description
  • 40 hrs. per week / 8 hrs. shifts – Morning / Afternoon or Evening Shift
  • Beginning of February – until beginning of December 2022
  • Speak fluent English – Spanish an asset
  • Must be passionate about hospitality and holistic health

Cal Reiet is a luxury boutique hotel that offers holistic retreats and personalized wellness program for guests. We are located in Santanyi, Mallorca, our season begins February 2022-December 2022, our concept is showcasing healthy lifestyle strategies while enjoying the amenities of 5-star service and quality. Position description
  • Must have a large experience with vegetarian/vegan cuisine.
  • Must be a leader with a minimum of 5 years kitchen leadership experience. Practicing and implementing industry sanitation practices.
  • Must be able to work as a team member as well as being a leader. Also, communication/leadership skills to maintain guidance to front of the house team as needed, leading daily shift meetings and also participating in weekly staff meetings.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong management skills pertaining to food costs/labor costs.
  • Open to working split shifts and also A.M. and P.M. shifts.
  • Provide a CV, sample menu’s and 3 professional references.

For our restaurant Cal Reiet’s Table, situated in Cal Reiet Holistic Retreat, we are looking for enthusiastic and conscious waiters to join our team. Our primarily focus is to give our guests a magical experience – whether it’s during a retreat, an event or for our external guests – where we create amazing food and beverages with local, plant-based ingredients, without compromising on flavor.

Our service is all about the perfect mix between personal attention and maintain professional.

Position description
  • 2 years upscale waiter/service staff experience;
  • You speak English. Spanish, German and other languages are a plus.
  • Must be comfortable and able of (up)selling wines and other beverages;
  • Basic knowledge of seasonal and local food concepts, plant-based and raw cuisine and must be comfortable with explaining foods to guests and up selling food;
  • You are flexible and a real team-player. We are a team where we all help each other – from all departments – and we are looking for someone with a hands-on mentality;
  • Part of the job is also making the terraces ready, having the bars clean and to keep our work area nice and tidy;
  • Able to work split shifts, weekends and evenings;
  • Required to adhere to the dress code for the front of the house operation (appropriate shoes, clean and tidy uniform,  personal hygene is a priority etc.);
  • You have transportation.

  • Monthly wages according to industry/union standards;
