And, as much as we absolutely love having you on site, enjoying the beauty of our facilities, we also want you to make the most out of your time on the island. This is why today we’re sharing our five favourite coves in the area of Santanyí with you.

Top five coves in Mallorca’s South

Cala Marmols

Cala Marmols is a secluded, quiet little cove surrounded by cliffs. Crystal clear, turquoise water invites you to let your worries fade and relax in the middle of nature at its sand and gravel beach. This cove is located an 18-minute drive from Cal Reiet and can be found in between Cala Santanyí and the Lighthouse of Ses Salines. It is a little bit difficult to reach, as you cannot get there directly by car, meaning you’ll have to walk for a bit. But the unparalleled virgin beauty of it, is totally worth the little hike.

Cala en Tugores

Cala en Tugores is an unspoiled, little beach located at the end of a U-shaped bay, after walking for about 6 kilometres either from Colonia de Sant Jordi or from the Lighthouse of Ses Salines. This oasis of peace and seclusion is set in the middle of a dreamlike natural environment: transparent, shimmering water, surrounded by pine trees. The rocky cove is a stunning example of Mediterranean beauty at its most authentic shape.

Cala Mondragó and s’Amarador

Located inside the Mondragó Natural Park, Cala Mondragó and s’Amarador are connected by a five-minute pedestrian walkway, although the latter is less popular than its twin sister. Both of them are absolutely mesmerizing beaches, where you can spend the day living the Mediterranean lifestyle at its best. The Park obtained its title in 1992 and was also considered a Natural Area of Special Interest for Birds in 1995, meaning you will be able to discover some of Mallorca’s flora and fauna by chilling by the beach.

Caló des Homos Morts

Even though its name in Majorcan is scary (Dead Men’s Cove), this cove is anything but what is name says. This gem, situated in the island’s south, boasts crystalline waters that gently kiss powdery sands. Secluded by rocky cliffs, it offers an intimate haven for sun-seekers and nature lovers alike. The tranquil ambiance invites contemplation, while the azure horizon mesmerizes with its infinite expanse. Caló des Homos Morts is a serene sanctuary where time slows, and the beauty of Mallorca’s coastal splendour unfolds effortlessly.

Cala Llombards

Last, but not least, we need to talk about ‘Cala Llombards’, one of our go-to coves in the South of Mallorca. Framed by rugged cliffs, this idyllic cove boasts pristine turquoise waters and golden sands. Offering a perfect blend of tranquillity and natural splendour, it’s also popular for anyone looking to do a little bit of snorkelling in the region. Cala Llombards captivates visitors with its charm. There’s also a ‘chiringuito’ or beach restaurant for you to have lunch with your toes in the sand!
